About Fernando Agurcia

Fernando was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and spent the first eight years of his life there before relocating to Miami in 2008, where his father served as the Honduran Consul. In 2012, his family moved to San Antonio, drawn by strong ties to the city — including his mother’s status as a UTSA alumna. Fernando has proudly called San Antonio home ever since.

He is a double major graduate from the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning degrees in Real Estate Development & Finance and in Management Science. During college, he gained practical experience in the financial and real estate sectors as a Financial Specialist at Firstmark Credit Union and a residential Realtor with Keller Williams City-View.

Fernando’s passion for real estate investment began in high school and has guided his career ever since. His early professional choices — working at a credit union and as a realtor — were intentional steps to understand the financial system and build capital for investment. Upon graduating, he developed his first quadplex property in downtown San Antonio and has continued to grow his portfolio as an investor and developer.

Understanding the complexity of the commercial real estate world, Fernando sought to expand his expertise further — which led him to join the team at Core Commercial. He is honored to be part of a firm that values integrity, collaboration and excellence, and he is eager to contribute meaningfully while continuing to learn and grow in the commercial real estate space.
